Super Crazy vs. Yoshiyiro Tajiri
This was a great technical match with a lot of great spots. In the end, it was Super
Crazy with the
win via pinfall.
Steve Corino vs. Balls Mahoney
Steve Corino came out unexpectedly and challenged anyone who wanted to fight.
Out came Balls
Mahoney and Axl Rotten. It was Balls who took the challenge... and he was
successful at defeating
Corino.
Antifaz del Norte vs. Little Guido
Little Guido took this one via sumission by using the Sicilian Crab (Boston Crab).
Jerry Lynn vs. Rob Van Dam (ECW TV Title Match)
All in all, a great match. Lots of in and out of the ring action. There were several
close calls, and this
one could of gone either way.
The high spot of the match had to be when both men were on the top rope, and RVD
hit the
Vandaminator and Lynn fell off the top rope through a table. Good god.
Just as Lynn was about to cover RVD and get the win, the time limit expired. But
just as the fans
clearly wanted, we were treated to an extra 5 minutes of action.
When all was said and done, after a brutal battle, Rob Van Dam hit a frogsplash off
the top to retain
his TV Title. Great match.
Mustafa vs. New Jack
As usual, New Jack came down with a garbage pail full of weapons, and used each
and every one in
there.. from a keyboard, to a stop sign, to a golf club, to a guitar.
They went friggin' insane during this one. This match practically defined hardcore.
New Jack puts Mustafa onto a table and straps him to it with electrical tape. He
climbs onto the
balcony and flies off and goes through the table with Mustafa strapped to it!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
After security helped both men back into the ring, New Jack covered Mustafa and
got the win. WHAT
A MATCH!
Super Nova and Spike Dudley vs the Dudley Boyz
The Dudley family comes out while New Jack is still in the ring after his brutal
match, and attack him.
After some... charming mic work by both Joel Gertner and Buhbuh Ray, the match
gets underway.
The Dudleys really were in control for most of this one, and really destroy Nova and
Spike. They take
a mic and challenge anyone. Out comes Judge Jeff Jones. Followed by...SID.
Psycho Sid
Viscous/Justice/Eudy hits the ring and stares down the Dudleys. They talk some
trash to him, and
attack him. He makes it back to his knees. The Boys attempt a double clothesline,
but Sid ducks it and
hits a double chokeslam!
Sid then powerbombs D-Von Dudley and puts him on a stretcher.
Spike Dudley is in the ring and hits the Acid Drop on Bubba! 1-2-3!!
Then, out of nowhere, SID POWERBOMBS SPIKE!! And another one, this time,
over the top rope
through a table!!!
Justin Credible and Lance Storm vs Shane Douglas and Tommy Dreamer
As for the actual match, both Credible and Storm were doing a number on Douglas
(who was in for the
first 10 minutes or so) until finally he taked Dreamer who began to unload. Now after
a while, Credible
and Storm (who tag in and out many times) don't let Shane tag in! The Franchise
finally does get in
and there's some more brawling.
Then, the fake Beulah (Dawn Marie) and Francine go at it!! CATFIIIIIGHT!
After the ladies break it up and the action continues, here comes Francine with a
ladder. Dreamer puts
Credible face first into a ladder. Dreamer and Storm pull the ladder down so that the
other tip flies up
and smacks both Storm and Credible in the faces!
Credible takes a cane, but Francine catches the cane and kicks Credible. Douglas
hits the
FISHERMAN'S SUPLEX ON CREDIBLE! 1-2-3!
SABU vs TAZ for the ECW Heavyweight Championship
Taz gets on the mic and makes this match not only a unified belt match but a falls
count anywhere
match. Both men feeling each other out early. Sabu punches Taz. Taz punches
Sabu. Both men
grappling in the middle of the ring. Taz gives Sabu the Brooklyn Boot to the side of
the head.
Sabu hits a springshot somersault legdrop on Taz. Sabu throws a chair at Taz. Air
Sabu connects in
the corner and down goes Taz. Baseball slide, Taz into the railing. Sabu hits a triple
jump plancha onto
Taz in the crowd. Sabu sets up a table. Taz lays him on it. Taz on second rope but
gets caught. Sabu
hurricanrana's Taz. Taz catches Sabu and hits a Tornado Bomb.
Alphonso was going to throw in the towel but Sabu stopped him. Taz throws Sabu
off the ramp again!
Alphonso throws a chair at Taz and Taz chases him to the locker room. Sabu hits a
low blow. Sabu
applies the camel clutch
Both men on the ramp. Taz throws Sabu off the ramp. Sabu comes back up and into
the ring they go.
Sabu dropkicks the knee of Taz. Sabu sets up a table. Taz throws Sabu into the
ring. Taz belly to
belly Tazplexed Sabu over the top rope and through a table. They took out a
cameraman doing it! Taz
hits Sabu in the jaw. Blood pouring from the mouth of Sabu. Sabu hit an Arabian
Facebuster. Taz hits
a low blow and connects with a pumphandle Tazplex. Sabu smashes Taz with the
chair. Sabu hits a
Triple Jump Moonsault. Taz hits a head and arm Tazplex. Fight goes back to back
but only one man
overcomes.
Winner: Taz(ECW Champ)
